Akshar-PurushottamDarshan
Akshar–Purushottam Darshan is a central spiritual philosophy of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. It explains the relationship between God (Purushottam) and Akshar, the eternal divine entity that serves and supports God. The philosophy was taught by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and later clearly explained and spread by great saints such as Bhagatji Maharaj and Shastriji Maharaj.
Bhagatji Maharaj played a crucial role in spreading this philosophy. He strongly emphasized that Gunatitanand Swami is Akshar, the eternal abode and ideal devotee of God.

Role in the Akshar–Purushottam Tradition
Bhagatji Maharaj played a crucial role in the development and spread of the Akshar–Purushottam philosophy within the Swaminarayan tradition. Though he was a householder devotee, his deep understanding of spiritual principles and unwavering devotion made him one of the most influential figures in preserving and propagating this doctrine.
One of his most significant contributions was promoting the belief that Swaminarayan is Purushottam, the Supreme God, and Gunatitanand Swami is Aksharbrahman, the eternal divine abode and the ideal devotee of God. Bhagatji Maharaj fearlessly shared this understanding with devotees, helping them grasp the relationship between Akshar and Purushottam and guiding them toward a deeper spiritual path.
